EA announced the FC Community API update and confirmed a controlled program that allows approved websites to request selected EA SPORTS FC account data after user authorization.

According to the official update, account linking is optional and not required to play EA SPORTS FC.

Approved websites at launch

EA stated that only FUT.GG and FUTWIZ are approved at launch. Users are advised to avoid any other site claiming FC API access without official approval.

The official post also clarifies that approved sites do not receive EA login credentials, but only scoped API access after consent.

What data can be accessed

At launch, the program includes selected Ultimate Team data such as players, squads, tactics and related account information used for community tools.

EA indicated that additional data categories may be added as the program evolves.

Retention and expansion policy

EA says API-derived account data can be retained by approved sites for up to 28 days, with the retention window resetting after new user-authorized requests.

The same update also notes that EA is not accepting additional Community API applications at this stage.

Why this matters for FC 27 communities

For clubs, creators and squad-management communities, the official API rollout is important because it creates a clearer trust model: user consent, approved partners and defined data boundaries.

It also helps reduce confusion between legitimate integrations and unofficial tools, which is especially relevant ahead of FC 27 when demand for The Grounds and Clubs companion features is rising.
